Kris Jenner’s talk show hasn’t been picked up, and while it has not officially been canceled -yet-she will make the announcement on Friday. She was supposed to tape two more episodes tomorrow but they were both cancelled.
There were allegations of problems from the jump. The first set of problems…(1) The Kardashian momager and self-proclaimed “Queen of Everything” initially butted heads with executives over the direction of the show.
She did not want a co-host for the first part of the show but lost that battle immediately to her bosses. “Kris didn’t feel it was necessary, but co-executive producer,Robert Lifton, said it was essential.”
(2) Her show was slammed by Linda Stasi,Nypost TV Critic who wrote a not so nice review which included the following:
“Kris,” hosted by Kris Jenner, is so horrible it should come with a hazard warning — while “The Real” is so good, you may want it to stick around past the summer.
Let’s get to the bad news first. It was immediately apparent that Jenner, the Mother of All Relentless Self-Promoters, has as much business with a talk show as her big, talent less bore-of-a-daughter, Khloe, had co-hosting a talent show like “The X Factor.” More On that review »here:
(3) While “Kris” received decent ratings in the first week of its six-week tryout, it fell behind another potential talk show, “The Real.”
Both shows debuted July 15, but “The Real” edged out “Kris” in metered market household ratings and key female demographics. Additionally, while “The Real” improved ratings for its time-slot from a year ago, “Kris” actually decreased ratings for its time slot.
